Slalom grows its Global Industry Healthcare expertise with hiring of new leader, Dr. Meera Kanhouwa

Seattle, WA - December 18, 2024 — Slalom, the global business and technology consulting company, today announced Dr. Meera Kanhouwa has joined the company as its new global industry healthcare leader. In this role, Kanhouwa will be responsible for the outcomes we deliver for our healthcare customers, with a focus on initiatives that enhance operational efficiencies, creating innovative solutions that drive value for patients, providers, and address line of business challenges.  
 
Kanhouwa excels at building HCLS businesses by driving innovative solutions and bridging the gap between industry needs and technical capabilities. She has 18 years of clinical Emergency Medicine practice and clinical leadership positions, and serves as a physician technologist, having helped customers at Microsoft, Accenture, Deloitte, and most recently, AWS.

We can only do that by improving the provider experience and transforming operations by leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Gen AI.”

At AWS, she led the Global AWSI HCLS ProServe team to strategically transform the largest global life sciences and MedTech customers by leveraging advanced cloud-based solutions. Under her leadership, the team executed cloud migrations and modernizations and digital transformation at scale, including Gen AI POCs to production. 

Kanhouwa earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Tufts University School of Medicine and has a Master of Health Administration degree from the George Washington University School of Business. Outside of corporate life, Kanhouwa is a dedicated mother of two girls, two dogs, and five cats, with a passion for the outdoors. She enjoys activities like skiing, rock climbing, and mountain climbing, all of which boost her resilience, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, and are carried into her professional roles.
