Bringing LIHI’s volunteerism to a whole new level
LIHI develops, owns, and operates housing for the benefit of low-income, homeless, and formerly homeless people in Washington State. It also administers a range of supportive service programs to assist in maintaining stable housing and increasing self-sufficiency.
Volunteers are a vital part of LIHI’s process, and its volunteer base is growing year after year. To keep volunteers organized, LIHI needed a new comprehensive system that integrated the sign-up process, communication, and reporting into a single, easy-to-use platform.
Slalom met with LIHI’s staff from the beginning to map out the entire project and walk them through how a Salesforce solution could modernize and consolidate their volunteer efforts. By adapting a Salesforce module, Slalom was able to turn multistep processes like emailing volunteers and reporting hours into a click of a button, saving countless hours.
Supporting the mission beyond technology
In addition to providing a scalable solution, Slalom’s small delivery team made a financial contribution and pledged to build a tiny home, signing up on the same platform they created.
Now, LIHI can offer volunteers a seamless experience, freeing up staff to spend less time on the back end and more time creating affordable housing solutions for a healthy, strong, and committed community.
